FLAG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Merry Christmas!

This year to prepare for La Flag Christmas Show, we did a lot of reading, writing and crafts to set the scene for our play based on “A Christmas Carol “,  by Charles Dickens.

We looked at who are ‘carol singers’  and we made pop-up  self- portrait collages in class 1.

In class 2,  we learned that a diorama is a static scene made with attention to detail. We observed the streets and backgrounds of Charles Dickens’s story, and we talked about the stunning details of Victorian houses and street lamps from the Victorian age. We reproduced personal  book-dioramas with miniature scenes of Scrooge and Tiny Tim as standing paper characters.
