FLAG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – Art History Project part 2

Here is the second part of our Art History project for this year.

We practiced drawing human bodies with animal heads looking at Ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses.

Afterwards we looked at Ancient Greek Theatre masks, symmetrical vases with patterns and some Greek types of columns floating in a magic colourful background.

Then we learned about Ancient Rome and its mosaics, centurions and of course the Colosseum.

Middle Age comes next, and we opted for learning about the Longobards and Teodolinda’s Crown, Ancient Pavia, its magnificent Castle and great monuments such as La Certosa and the Old Bridge.

Finally, we landed to the Renaissance, where we enjoyed Botticelli and his Venus mixed with a beautiful La Primavera collage.
