And there you have it! We put the time machine in action when we are learning about an artist or a certain movement in art. I ask the kids to follow me to the Art History wall so they can visually grasp important periods in art, through pictures and pop ups.

Here are some art projects from the art period we have been studying since the beginning of this school year.

From Early Renaissance, when artists learned to paint realistically; High Renaissance, with Michelangelo who painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and sculpted David; Leonardo da Vinci who sketched inventions and painted the Mona Lisa and the Lady with the Ermine; to Caravaggio and Dutch artists who painted portraits, still lives and genre paintings.
